Have you seen Cloverfield? Yes

[IC Information]
Character Name: Panchito Pistoles (legally "Panchito Romero Miguel Junipero Francisco Quintero González III")
Series: The Three Caballeros
Gender: Male
Age: Ageless
Species: Anthropomorphized rooster
Sexuality: Straight
Appearance: Panchito is rather tall for a rooster, but as such he only reaches to the waist on an average-sized human. The feathers on his body are red-orange, but the proud crown atop his head is pure red, and often hangs down over his forehead due to the oversized sombrero that hardly ever leaves his head. His eyes, though often appear black, sometimes glint brown when he gets overly excited... which is often.
His clothes call back to the days of the Charro in Mexico, with a red jacket and red pants lined with gold trim. The pants also have straps that wrap around the bottom of his feet and connect to silver spurs, which were useful back when he rode upon his beloved horse, Señor Martinez. Simple white gloves cover his hands and add some charm to his costume, along with an oversized brown belt that holds up the holsters that hold his two beloved pistols.
Personality:
Panchito, first and foremost, is loud. He often makes his entrances by screaming and shouting, firing his guns, and dancing to the rhythms of his Mexican heritage. He says that he fires his guns to 'express himself', and considers himself somewhat of an artist when he has them in his grip. He loves to sing, and one of his favorite songs is the traditional Charro song "Ay! Jalisco no te Rajes". He can be found often strumming on his guitar under the many stars of Mexico, reveling in the never-ending pride and adoration of his country. To people who don't understand how this overzealous and fun-loving rooster acts might find him annoying and, even worse, completely 'loco'.
Abilities: Panchito is quite skilled with a gun-- though he uses his skills to more AVOID hitting his friends when he's on one of his dancing and shooting jamborees than actually shooting. Sadly, when he awakes in Manhattan he finds that both of his pistols can only shoot a small stream of water instead of the loud bullets that he used to possess. He is also without either of his forms of transportation-- his horse or his magical serape that he used to fly around upon. With both of these gone, the bird is grounded.
Weaknesses: His loudness is easily a weakness, as is his tendency to easily trust people.
Manhattanite or outsider? Outsider
History:
Panchito was born in Jalisco, Mexico to a very large family tree (which he is very knowledgeable about). His life was fairly simple, he became a Charro and was trained in the art of horseback riding, gunslinging, singing, and playing the guitar. However, his life really got interesting when he came bursting out of a birthday present to Donald Duck. It was his job to introduce the duck, as well as his friend Joe Carioca, to the beauty and wonder of Mexico. He did so with a flair, taking the birds on a ride through Mexico on his magic serape. The three of them became the Three Caballeros, a singing group that became very popular in Hollywood. Along with Joe, Panchito stayed in Hollywood with Donald Duck for ten years until the three friends decided to go their seperate ways, promising to meet each other again someday.
However, Panchito didn't want to leave alone. After his life of fame and glory, he wanted to settle down with a nice hen and start a family of little Panchito Juniors. That is when he met the love of his life, the diva Clara Cluck. He wooed her and convinced her to come back to Mexico with him, for a visit. She was swept off her feet and immediately agreed, but when she got there she found that Panchito's loud personality just wasn't for her. Clara left the broken-hearted rooster with a love not for him, but for Mexican food. Panchito doesn't give up so easily, however, and vowed to someday convince Clara that he's the rooster for her.
Shortly afterwards, Panchito left to search for a magnificent, ancient Mexican silver mine. It was when he was searching for this treasure that blacked out, and woke up in a bleak world that certainly wasn't his beloved Mexico...
